What first sparked your passion for planning luxury weddings and events, do you remember the moment it clicked for you?
I’ve always been a creative and sociable person, but it was my time working at luxury womenswear designer Roland Mouret that changed everything. I was lucky enough to help behind the scenes with his runway show at London Fashion Week and seeing months of hard work come together in that one moment was incredibly satisfying. Being surrounded by that level of craftsmanship and vision was hugely inspiring, it made me realise that bringing ideas to life was what I wanted to do.
When a couple walks in with a vision, how do you begin turning their ideas into something truly unforgettable?
I begin by asking questions to understand my clients—their personality, preferences, and vision. From there, I create design boards that translate their inspiration into something personal and fresh. Once initial concepts resonate, I shape the full journey: how guests will feel on arrival, the rhythm of the ceremony, the flow of dinner, and the energy of the evening. Every detail—from lighting and florals to tableware and furniture—contributes to an immersive experience that leaves guests thinking, “That was so them.”
How do you balance creativity with the practical, behind-the-scenes logistics, especially with different budgets and event sizes?
Creativity and logistics go hand in hand. When designing, I’m always considering how ideas can realistically come to life. With bespoke concepts, problem-solving and innovative solutions are often part of the process. Being a planner is a constant balance of emotions and practicalities—supporting the client while coordinating multiple suppliers. My role is to ensure they enjoy the journey, feeling fully cared for, while I handle the stress and details behind the scenes—and I genuinely love doing it.
Luxury events can easily tip into extravagance. As a Wedding and Event Planner how do you guide couples toward impact without unnecessary excess?
Whatever the budget, my aim is always to make it work as hard as possible. With over 16 years’ experience, I know which suppliers will be the right fit, what things should cost, and how to adjust plans if needed.
I’m also a big believer in focusing on key statement moments rather than decorating every corner. That’s where impact – and meaning – really lives. And I’m always honest from the start: Pinterest dreams don’t always match the budget, and part of my job is helping clients find beautiful alternatives that still capture the spirit of what they want.
What’s your approach to curating the perfect team of suppliers for each celebration?
After so many years in the industry, we’ve built an incredible network, from trusted mid-level suppliers to some of the best in the world. Choosing the right team is all about understanding the client’s personality, priorities and budget, then hand-selecting those who will be the best fit.
How do you make every client feel genuinely seen and cared for throughout their planning journey?
We take on a limited number of clients each year so we can give each one the time and attention they deserve. I have a brilliant team, but I am always the client’s main point of contact, so I know every detail of what’s happening.
Clients can be as involved as they want to be. Some love diving into every choice, others prefer to step back. Either way, they’re kept fully in the loop, and they all have my personal number so they can message me with ideas or questions at any time.
Do you have a signature style as a wedding and event planner?
It depends on the type of event but as a general rule my signature style is impactful, modern and elegant with a touch of whimsical. I’m never afraid of using colour where it feels right, but I never impose, I listen, and revel in creating something that is genuinely personal to every one of our clients. It without doubt needs to be effortlessly striking and leave a lasting impression.
